Technology
Finsyte is an Excel add-in that connects directly to NetSuite with permissions based on company and role logins.
- Financials made easy - Finsyte utilizes templates, functions, and natural language referencing to make creating financial reports easier than ever in the tool everyone knows best.
- Performance tuned queries - Finsyte automatically queries data to run the fastest possible.
- Ease of use - With a finite number of features available, Finsyte has been designed to be intuitive to the standard accounting or finance user.
Installation Requirements/Prerequisites
Finsyte currently requires two versions of .NET to be installed. The installer will attempt to install these automatically at the time of download. There is the potential for a block of the automatic installations due to your company's security policy so a manual installation may be required.
Note
If your installation is completed by an IT administrator, the user will need to log out of their machine and log back in to trigger the add-in being visible in Excel.
Windows 10 or above is required to install Finsyte.
Requirements for Standard Install:
- .NET 4.8.1+ Runtime - Download Here
- .NET 9.0 Desktop Runtime (64-bit) (v9.0.7) - Download Here
Note
If you're running a 32-bit version of Office, then the pre-requisites are a little different since you need the 32-bit versions. Review below.
Requirements for 32-bit Office Install:
- .NET 6.0 Desktop Runtime (v6.0.36) - Windows x86 Installer - Download Here
- .NET 9.0 Desktop Runtime (32-bit) (v9.0.7) - Windows x86 Installer - Download Here
Integration Auto-Installation
The first time a user logs into the Finsyte Add-In, a “Finsyte TBA” integration record is automatically created in your NetSuite environment. This record allows Finsyte to securely connect to NetSuite using Token-Based Authentication user access tokens and log all REST and SOAP Web Services activity.
If you have the preference “Require Approval during Auto-Installation of Integration” marked as True under Setup > Integration > SOAP Web Services Preferences, an administrator will need to perform an additional step of changing the “Finsyte TBA” integration’s “State” field from “Waiting for Approval” to “Approved” before Finsyte can query NetSuite and run properly.
